Initially, Marla "Mac" Hodges started yoga to regain flexibility and strength she previously had from ballet, but the unexpected clarity and self reflection caused yoga to win her over. Marla, a 200 hour Life Power Yoga Teacher Certified instructor, was an international professional dancer for nine years. Over the past ten years Marla has worked as a physical therapist. These two unique experiences combine to help Marla masterfully choreograph flow sequences.

The most important thing to me as a teacher is that my students leave saying, ‘Wow, what a great experience physically, mentally and emotionally!’ It is also very important for me to have a personal connection with my class.

For Marla, yoga is not just a great physical work out, but it is an opportunity to be vulnerable. She believes that vulnerability is not weak, but actually builds strength. Through vulnerability the student can grow themselves physically and mentally.

I learn something new about myself every time I practice yoga.

YoLIMBER has long been a dream that Marla has worked for. After a decade of helping patients heal through physical therapy, Marla wanted to create a place for her students to experience the healing and growth through yoga that Marla has experienced herself.
